excuse me for a second

Justin Bieber and Selena GomezI just have to take a minute to let out my inner fangirl. Four years ago when Disney Channel debuted its newest hit Wizards of Waverly Place I had serious doubts.

It was another typical Disney Channel Show: a snarky female tween lead, her annoying brothers (both of which would stay the same height while she grew taller each passing season), and the ever present magic theme that needed to be tied into every episode.

I was, of course, completely accurate in my assessment and the show ran straight for the past four years. But now Miss Selena Gomez has gone from Disney's newest It Girl to Americas Sweet Heart. She's even dating Americas Boyfriend Justin Beiber (insert squeal here!).

Her latest single "Who Says"from the album When the Sun Goes Down by Selena Gomez & the Scene is actually really wonderful.

In addition to her blossoming music career she's go the lead role in the romantic comedy Monte Carlo. Now thats she's ditched the Disney duds and started pursuing an actual career I may have to start taking Miss Gomez more seriously.

Boys that are dangerously cute, and regretfully overlooked.

Today's is Chord Overstreet: the hot Beiber wannabe who plays the newest member of New Directions Sam Evans.

scene kids are seen kids

Because I still refuse to mention the name of the town I live in this will be alarmingly vague. Somewhere in Southern California there was a fantastic gathering of all the alternative scream bands that you've never heard of.

From Anarbor (love!) to A Day to Remember it was the annual concert that has the teens Of my town bouncing off the walls even more than usual. Even I, a usually conservative, incredibly snarky fashionista donned the heavy black eyeliner and vintage Strokes t-shirt for a day of live music and unhealthy snacks.

Tickets were a steep thirty five dollars for a two day pass therefore I absolutely refused to pay and a cheaper (free) way to get in. All in all it was a great time (though slightly dangerous) and I look forward to next year.

long and lovely

Jen Kao Specter's SkirtFinished my messenger bag. I'll try to post pics soon. On to my next project: a maxi skirt
I'm looking for a good pattern online, but no such luck. I might just have to make my own which won't easy, but I've got time now because it's summer (yay!).

I'm going to be doing a loooot of projects now because I really want to improve my fashion portfolio. I'll definitely be posting more soon.
