Mary-Kate has always been my favorite Olsen. I think its becaus eof her name.
Anyhow isn't it incredible to see what huge fashion moguls they are today?
It feels like just yeasterday I was watching them on Full House (dreadful show), and now they're selling seven thousdand dollar coats at Barneys.
Its madness.

by the bolt
Messenger bags were similar to the fugly burlap sacks most mailmen (or mail women) use to haul around the loads.
Now they're more urbanized and chic (like the camel colored Prada messenger on the left).
I've been surfing the net (surprise, surprise) for the past hour desperately trying to find some kind of inspiration. I want my back to be reversible, with maybe two adjustable straps instead of one, and a circular flap embellished with fabric flower petals.
The fabric is a pretty shade of ivory, with a few messy french scribbles and some soft looking pale pink roses. My lining is white with an interesting Indian/native looking pattern in dark navy.
The bag will be pretty (I'm sure) but I was hoping for some dazzling design ideas. Any advice?

femme fatale
So Britney Spears' seventh album Femme Fatale was released on March 25th, 2011.
Because I am so dangerously low on funds I just bought that CD last Friday. It was absolutely fantastic.
Of course "Hold it Against Me" and "Till the World Ends" are big hits but, I think all the non-popular tracks were really good too.
It's one of the best albums I've bought in a while. Britney's comeback has been great so far and hopefully she continues to make excellent music to delight the ears of her fans.

stumbled upon
Looking for croquis when I found this pic on this site. Th author posted that it was done by the brilliant Bob Mackie (the sultan of sequins, the rajah of rhinestones) whom I absolutely adore! Everything he makes is a work of art. Obviously he also influenced the author as well. These sketches (left) are gorgeous. I love it when fashionistas post about they're real jobs in the real world. It gives all the young, budding, dreamers (like me) hope for a fashion filled future. I'll probably take a day to scroll through her words of wondrous wisdom and enlighten myself. Anyone who gets to work that closely with Bob Mackie is important to me. The link should be up on mylist pretty soon.

how about something fabulous?
It's really easy and takes about twenty minutes to make one.
We've been working on embellishing too so most of mine are covered in buttons, flowers, yo-yos, and rhinestones.
The pattern is simple enough and I found this one that is really similar to what we've been doing.
Drafting it very simple, as long as you know your dimensions.
I'm really into hair accessories for spring this year.

also known as the pagri
I'm actually incredibley excited to hear that turbans are in for spring 2011. As far as hair accessories go they're one of my very favorties.
It's a middle east/tough girl/pirate chic/tropical kind of style that works on nearly everyone and adds a nice twist to most looks. Also: can salvage most bad hair days.
Turbans will probably be my favorite trend this season and I'm determined to make one as soon as I can find a decnt pattern. And maybe silk fabric in a shade of honeysuckle pink. . . . .one of the trendiest colors of the spring!

English Folk Music- Mumford and Sons
So I've heard of Mumford & Sons- who hasn't?- but their latest hit, The Cave is so suprisingly wonderful I had to double take. I adored their last song Little Lion Man, as well. With two hits no misses I might just have to give in and fork over $15 for their album.
