Suck it and see

I feel like a jerk-off for not posting in so long but whatever. Things have been busy. My fashion isn't really that up to date either, but I've been reading about the top trends for fall 2011 and they kind of suck.

1. Peplum- Okay, but not everyone can rock it because it does make the hips look wider and that's not always a good thing.

2. Colored jeans- Ew, no. That's it.

3. Plaid & Polka dot- Always in style. Boring.

4. Camo- horrible. I havent worn camo since 2004.

5. Color blocking- Awesome.

6. Mustard yellow, rusty orange, jade green- These don't seem like the coolest colors ever, but I don't hate them.

Dont really think I'm going to be too stylish this season. Oh well.

white jeans are cool again

According to Seventeen Magazine, white jeans are back in style even after Labor Day. I'm worried about this so called "trend". I hope it doesn't stick around for long. I just find them troublesome and not worth the effort.

Anyway the IFB Project Weekly Roundup is  What's In Your Purse? and I thought I might take a crack at it. I've got the following

  1. Say YES to Carrots, carrot flavored chap stick
  2. Lemon scented hand sanitizer
  3. All natural green tea flavored mints from Trader Joes
  4. Sparkly purple wallet
  5. Coin purse
  6. Sunglasses
  7. Sunglasses case
  8. Bobby pins
  9. Emery board
  10. Hard Candy Lip gloss
  11. Floss
  12. Skullcandy headphones
  13. iPhone 3Gs
  14. Driving permit
  15. Mini Composition notebook
  16. Gold glitter gel pen
  17. L'Oreal Mascara
  18. Cherry flavored HALLs
  19. A Fruit Rollup
  20. Contact lense solution
  21. Vanilla scented body butter
  22. Cinnamon flavored 5 Gum
  23. House keys
  24. Contact lens case
  25. Planner
  26. Cell Phone charger
  27. Sharpie Pen
I know. I carry way to much crap, but everything is 100% necessary. I don't like to be caught off guard

what to put my things in

I know I said that usually I buy my school bags from Lulus because I really like their selections, but this year I have to mix things because I absolutely adore the bags from Urban Outfitters. Buying bags for school is always an incredibly long process. I visit every store, every web site, every thrift store in town because if I don't buy a bag that I absolutely adore I end up shelling out another hundred to replace it mid semester.

The qualifications are as follows: large enough to carry all my school supplies and frivolous items, but small enough so that it doesn't make things extremely awkward in the insanely crowded hallways of my high school. And of course it has to be stylish enough to go with every outfit no matter what.

For the last two semesters I've bought hobo bags, totes, messenger bags, and purse. This year I'm thinking rucksack (preferably fur or corduroys) because I haven't actually carried a
backpack since I was twelve and it'd be a nice change of pace.

Here are a few of my favorites from Urban Outfitters.

Deena & Ozzy Colorblock Backpack
                                                 Deux Lux Boxy Buckled Backpack
                                                 Deux Lux Zip-Flap Corduroy Backpack
